I have worked for Maybelline 40 years ago as a territory manager. Since that time I have also worked for Clinique and Este Lauder. Now I work in the Healthcare industry. I see over 75 patients a day. They all ask my wow your makeup is so beautiful what do you use?
Maybelline Dream Matt mousse.
Bad marketing not to use this product and upgrade it before discontinuing it.
I tried many products in my time high end and budget worthy. This product was excellent and worth marketing.
Hope the company can relaunch something spectacular to replace it or they will lose product loyalty.

Cheryl, as a millenial, this foundation has a special place in my heart 🙂 I agree that they should’ve upgraded it especially since there’s not enough mousse formulas out there. It’s sad to see cult-favorite products being discontinued. Stay safe ❤️
The jar was difficult to manage. The foundation was tucked up under the contour of the container and difficult to attain. But the product itself was amazing and well worth the effort.
Oooh… already I miss my Dream Matte Mousse !!!
I always bought it at Walmart, in the “Classic Ivory” shade. It was so smooth to apply, and perfect for those hot Summer days, to apply to freshly washed facial skin to prevent the look of perspiration!
The first time I tried it, I wore it to my 24 yr. old daughter’s wedding…in June of 2006, and it’s the only foundation I have worn since.
PLEASE bring it back!!!!!!!

A close alternative to Dream Matte Mousse could be Essence Natural Matte Mousse Foundation. However, Maybelline was pretty unique with their formula and know that it won’t be the same. Unfortunately, mousse formulas, especially good ones, are really hard to come by these days. Maybe it’s time for a change 😊
